A Timeless Luxury Estate
Nestled below the majestic Mount Erymanthus and overlooking the Port of Patras on Greece’s west coast, this property has been in the present owner’s family for five generations. Sixty stremma or 15 acres, the property is 20% forested while the remaining 80% is the villa and gardens.
Hercules’ Forth Labor, the capture of the Erymanthian Boar took place nearby and the figure of the boar is included in the owner’s family crest.
The property was originally the pastureland for the family’s livestock. Sheep, goats, pigs and chickens were raised and then marketed in the city below.
The property is located 30 minutes from downtown Patras, 30 minutes from Kalogria beach, one hour from the Kalavryta ski resort and two and a half hours from Athens.
Twenty years ago, the present owner inherited the property and set about turning it into magnificent gardens and a villa reminiscent of those in Tuscany.

The owner is a well-travelled collector who incorporated the finds of a lifetime into this spectacular landscape. To the nearly one hundred venerable olive trees that the dot the property, he planted cypress trees, a small vineyard and a rose garden which have grown into a lush landscape.
Arbors of wisteria which shade hydrangeas create covered walkways and spaces for relaxing and dining. A walkway down to a small creek is lined with cypress trees with steps made of recycled wooden railway ties.
A small vegetable garden and chicken koop hidden behind a hedge, provide the owner and his guests with organic vegetables and eggs. Lemon, orange and pomegranate trees are scattered throughout the property.
This year, the owner will bottle his organic olive oil and wine with a label designed from his family crest.
